Samuels Elementary School

3985 S Vincennes Ct, Denver, CO 8023 (major crossroads are S Tamarac & Mansfield)

Right near
Rosamond Park

Remodeled school playground. Very up to date with new equipment and great landscaping. All concentrated in one main play area and tucked out of the way. No sand. 3 big playgrounds in one spread out area-each one for different age ranges.

Pro's: Great new equipment, big slide, no sand, lots and lots of swings, small baby playground too. Lots of advanced climbing areas and slides. Baseball field, tetherball poles (bring your own), tri-basketball, basketball court. Great place to ride bikes with ramps and stairs. No sand. One of the best school playgrounds period.

Con's: School playground.
As with all school playgrounds you will have to visit on weekends or after school and no dogs allowed.

My Rating:4 stars

Southmoor Park

3600 S Oneida Way, Denver, Colorado 80224 (Major crossroads: Just South of Hampden on Oneida)

Pro's: Very shady playground. All ages swings, climbable trees in spot, circular trail, covered picnic. Sledding hill in winter. Soccer fields.

Con's: Playground is minimal, lotta open spaces but minimal scenery. Kinda boring.
